Binged...
This 2 days after my 7 days of raw:
I just went went to Oriental Buffet and binged. I feel like crap right now! Fat Matt was in control and I ate 2 big plates of food. As soon as I was done with my 2nd plate it was like Fat Matt was satisfied and Skinny Matt was back in control. I felt so out of place. I ate some fruit and got out of there. Of course everything I ate was vegan, but it was still WAY too much food for one sitting. It's almost like I have to fall off the horse before I get back on. I probably just undid the positive effects of eating raw for a week.
Oh, well. I just need to take it as a lesson learned.
So, new rule. NO MORE BUFFETS (unless I'm with Rachel, and during those times I'll try to control what I eat).

hey matt, no biggie... everyone falls off the horse. if you hit yourself over the head too much about it, you'll just do yourself more harm than good. It's much better to allow yourself to fall back every once in a while because if you don't listen to your body every once in a while when it is craving something, you will end up binging.
But hey i wanted to let you know that no matter what happens, you're still a really awesome inspiration. And you've actually helped me a lot on my own health journey through your blogs and videos.
about 6 weeks ago i decided i wanted to go vegetarian. I've been playing with it for a long time now, knowing it's just the best thing to do for my health and the environment, not to mention the animals. but i finally made the commitment to succeed at it no matter what. And honestly, i've fallen off the horse a few times, but i just have to get back on it you know. It's easy to commit during the week, but on the weekends, it's harder because i'm out with friends, and we go to places like b-dubs regularly (which is my favorite) and it's just really hard.
but i'd have to say in the past 6 weeks i've only eaten meat about 7 days total, and not at every meal. so i've been doing pretty good having only 33% error in eating vegetarian. (once i get this down, i'm sure i'll take the next step and transition to vegan... i did pretty good over lent to be completely honest, which i also attribute to you)
so i guess what i'm saying, is that we're only human, and it's really hard to change our life long habits and lifestyles. And it's ok to fall off the horse every once in a while because we're still making a difference.
